We are thrilled to announce that ASM Affiliates has been awarded the NAVFAC Southwest Cultural Resources MASC/IDIQ contract! An award we proudly held for over two decades (1998 to 2018), this contract was foundational in establishing our reputation as the quality leader in the cultural resource management (CRM) industry. While we admittedly did not plan to step away from this work, the six-year hiatus gave us the unexpected opportunity to broaden our horizons. During that time, we expanded into new markets, diversified our services, and achieved company revenue records for three consecutive years.
Now, with the contract back in hand, we return not only with renewed purpose but with unmatched project capacity across California. Our team has grown stronger, more agile, and more equipped than ever to deliver high-quality, timely, and environmentally sensitive solutions to NAVFAC Southwest. This award is more than a return—it’s a reaffirmation of our ASM’s vision and a launchpad for the next chapter of excellence in federal CRM work.
“We’re incredibly grateful to our staff and our teaming partners for their collaboration and commitment throughout the proposal process, and to NAVFAC for the time they invested in reviewing our submission. Regaining this contract is deeply meaningful to us—not only because of our long history with it, but because it allows us to continue supporting our armed service members in their mission. We’re honored to bring our expanded capabilities and unmatched project capacity back to this important work,” says Brent Burmeister, ASM’s Marketing & Proposal Director.
As we step back into this role, we do so with a broader perspective and a stronger foundation. Our recent growth has equipped us with new tools, technologies, and partnerships that will enhance our ability to deliver. We’re excited to bring this expanded capacity to bear on projects that protect and preserve our nation’s heritage while supporting mission-critical infrastructure.
Celebrating at SAME Camp Pendleton Day
On the heels of our NAVFAC award was the Society for American Military Engineers (SAME) Camp Pendleton Day. Our team was proud to represent ASM Affiliates where we joined over 300 attendees for a day of networking, learning, and celebrating the enduring partnership between industry and the U.S. Armed Forces. As a Bronze Sponsor, we were honored to support this long-standing event and reconnect with colleagues and clients across the region. The event featured updates from NAVFAC Southwest, USACE, and other key agencies, offering valuable insights into upcoming opportunities and shared challenges in the environmental and infrastructure sectors.
